Pepper spray is one of most effective self-defense tools for women. It acts as a diversionary weapon and can deter the assailant committing rape, or any other violent crime. Pepper spray can temporarily incapacitate an attacker but it can also cause damage to your hair and clothing.

The BBguarder alarm is a great tool for women who are on the go. This alarm not only alerts emergency contacts, but also lets you know if your movements are being monitored. It can send you an SMS or email alert. The app lets you select up to 3 emergency contacts.

How To

How to Survive a Home Invasion

Home invasion is a scary thought, especially when there are kids involved. We didn't know what it would feel like to be in the midst of home invasions when we began our home security installation journey. Here's what we've learned so far.

  1. Do Not Allow Your Children to See The Attackers. Two men entered our home while our children were asleep upstairs. We took them downstairs until they arrived at the police station. The police arrived and our kids were not hurt. However, the traumatizing images did enough to make them feel scared.
  2. Lock Up All Valuables. We keep valuables locked up in a safe in our bedroom. Even if someone breaks in to the house, they won’t even be able get it.
  3. Keep an eye out on burglars. We live in an area that is prone to burglaries. We are always on the lookout for suspicious cars and people.
  4. Always have a backup plan. If something happens, our family will be taken over financially. We have also made a plan to leave this country, if needed.
  5. Be prepared. If you are ever in a situation where your life is at stake, it is important to be prepared. Make sure you have food, water, and other supplies ready.
  6. Call 911 first. If someone breaks into your house, dial 911 immediately. It's safer to call the authorities immediately than to wait for them at your door.
  7. Use Common Sense. Never allow anyone into your home who doesn't belong. Invite strangers only to visit.
  8. You can get help from nearby neighbors and people who live in the same area. Call neighbors or friends if you feel unsafe. They can be there to help you while you call 911.
  9. Keep Calm and Do What Police Officers Tell You To. Keep calm and do as the officers direct. Do not flee or resist arrest
  10. Take Pictures Of Any Evidence. Photograph any evidence that is found during an investigation. This includes blood samples and fingerprints.
  11. Local Law Enforcement can be contacted to file a report. Report to law enforcement, even if there was no injury. Doing so may prevent future crimes against you.
  12. Get in touch immediately with the Insurance Company. You should immediately contact your insurance company. Let them know everything and then ask for an adjuster.
  13. Your personal belongings should be removed. Take your personal belongings off the premises. If you're wearing expensive jewelry, take it off and put it somewhere safe.
  14. Take Care of Yourself. Clean up after yourself. Make sure you empty the trash, clean up any broken glass, and lock all doors.
  15. Do not talk about what happened. Don't talk about anyone's past. You never know who could use this information against your later.
